Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Dunes Center operations. We offer opportunities for volunteers to use their talents in all kinds of areas. We are always looking for enthusiastic individuals to lead hikes, help in the classrooms, greet the guests, and do all the details that hold this place together. Right now we need people for the following:

House Docents Ability to talk to people; love of history; ability to handle stairs learn about the Dunes Center and its history; serve as tour guide to visitors; light cleaning; stock brochure cases;
Exhibit Custodians ability to set up and maintain interesting exhibits rotate exhibits; make sure that exhibits are clean; make and keep up signs for exhibits
Bookstore attendants Some retail experience or a willingness to learn cash register operation Keep shelves stocked; ring up sales; maintain inventory log; submit orders when stockage is low.
Hike Docents knowledge of plants and animal life in the hike area; enjoy meeting people from all walks of life Plan hike and know the trail and area well; meet visitors and lead them along path; share information during hike; turn in hike schedule to administrator.
Your Specialty ! enthusiasm and a love of people and nature Share a your special interest; help organize a special event; help with children's activities. Bring us you ideas!
