David Hosking
David Hosking is a local middle school teacher and has taught for the past 21 years.  In addition to his classroom responsibilities, for 15 years, Mr. Hosking served as a Math, Engineering, and Science Achievement (MESA) advisor.  Most recently Mr. Hosking served on the state sponsored California Education and the Environment Initiative (EEI) final review committee.  His experience in the classroom teaching science is an immeasurable resource for the Dunes Center education programs.

Robin Hayhurst

Pam Dunlap
Pam and her husband, Roy, have lived on the Nipomo Mesa for ten years, retiring here from Southern California. Prior to retirement Pam was self-employed as an agent for State Farm Insurance. She was a Court Appointed Special Advocate for CASA for seven years, advocating for six children. She considers this the most important and gratifying work she has ever done. She spends twenty to thirty hours per week gardening at home. She and Roy try to travel somewhere significant each year. Pam and Roy have two children still living and thirteen grandchildren, ranging in age from 32 to 10. Pam is concerned about preserving our dunes, which she calls the jewel of the Central Coast. She is looking forward to being of service to the Dunes Center and those who support it.

John Karamitsos

My name is John Karamitsos. As a life-long Central Coast resident, I have been enjoying the local beaches and coastline since I was a young child.  I have been actively volunteering with the Dunes Center for the past decade or so, and am especially proud of my service on the Board of Directors since 2006.  For the past 22 years, I have been employed in the Planning Department of the County of Santa Barbara.  I am married with four young children, and one of our favorite family activities involves trips out to the dunes.

Rob Mullane

Rob is a Planning Manager at Rincon Consultants, and planning and environmental consulting firm in San Luis Obispo.  He has been involved in planning since 1996, and previous work experience includes positions at the City of Goleta, the County of Santa Barbara, and the University of Hawaii Sea Grant. Rob is active in the Guadalupe community, and has served as the City of Guadalupe’s contract City Planner since 2007.  Rob lives in Santa Ynez, California, with his wife Jill La Fleur and step-son Jake. He enjoys travel and being outdoors and is an avid runner, cyclist, and surfer.
